Our plan on Tuesday was to take a train across Ireland (which is a very narrow country) and go to the West Coast to see Galway. We wound up going by bus as some of the tracks along the way were being repaired, so that added about an extra half hour to the trip. Galway is a very pretty town on the water, bisected by a river that was running pretty rough that day.
We walked around the town, had a huge serving of fish and chips for lunch, then went out along the shore.
